Sorry Mac!!

Sat:

14,449.51+34.50=14,484.01

Sunday, ride of my life. Perfect day and I felt perfect..

14,484.01+126.25=14,610.26

Windy and a short day, I had to run errands for Mom.

14,870.26+56.50=14926.76

14926.76 + 90 = 15,016

To far today /img/vbsmilies/smilies/eek.gif 140km's in our language.

This was on the stationary as it is too cold to ride.

Same today. If I ride below sixty or so my knees
really suffer.

15033.76+18=15,051.76

Turned out to be a nice day, just a bit of wind at times

This was so easy I am a little ashamed to add it on...

Ain't this supposed to be hard??

15,051.76+51.66=15,103.42

Do stationary "miles" actually count for this challenge? If so, I could add a thousand or so from riding the trainer and spin class last winter and early spring. These are not counted the same as actual miles on my log.

As the temperatures fall and daylight becomes scarce, I will have to retreat indoors for a good chunk of my riding time as well. I do plan to be on the roads at least once a week (Subzero riding is kind of fun) until the roads are too slippery for me to trust traffic and my own riding ability.

It started on 3/21/10, any thing after that should count! ?

Mine is twice as hard as a regular bike, like up hill all the time.

About ten mph is the best I can average.

Today, real miles

15,103.42+52.6=15,156.02

Beautiful day, great ride.

15,156.02 + 23.5 = 15,179.52

Nice ride home. I rode for an hour going home rather than going by miles.

One hour ride home = 14.5 miles and 991 calories burned!

15179.52 + 16.5 = 15196.02 miles

Got a ride in before marching band dad stuff starts tonight

15,196.02+63.10=15,259.12

Very nice day!

Saturday:

15,259.12+61.33=15,320.45

15,320.45+65.20=15,385.65

Almost the same ride as yesterday but on my mountain bike.
A real work out.

15,439.35+51.00=15,490.35

My goal was to do 1000 miles this summer, I am now at 5032 miles with maybe
a couple more weeks to ride!

You've ridden over 5000 miles this summer? That's FIVE THOUSAND MILES????? <Sierra swoons.>

I can't even tell you how impressive that is. I'm trying to figure out how many miles per day that is, and my brain can't compute that high early in the morning, lol.

All I can say is, bowing down, "I'm not worthy!"

Congrats!!

Slim, you just have to make up your mind to do it. I have had the bike 145 days, I have missed three days riding.
Yard sale and illness.

5109/142=36 miles per day. Best day was 126 miles in about ten hours total time.

I can do thirty six miles standing on my head! Yesterday, 77.5 was a cake walk.

Just get it in your head, "I am going to do it!" It may hurt at first, but it goes away.
With me it did it suddenly, one day I found I could just keep going.

If you WAA WAA about it,, "My butt hurts, my legs hurt, my knees hurt!" you ain't gon'a
make it!

I am a polio survivor, I have had arthritis all my life, I take a couple aspirins and keep going!

I feel so much better than I did four months ago there is no way to tell you!

BTW, I also row several times a week. The boat is put up for the season now.

Not to go into detail, the wife is enjoying my feeling better!

I grew up in a military family, quitting is not an option!

BTW II, I ordered a new bike today!

Sierra
that would be an average of 41 miles per ride 7 days a week. Not impossible but very hard to do. That means you rode in any weather and you rode every day. If you have a road bike its a Little easier because you can go 17-20 miles per hr so a 41 mile ride if its on a flat road will only take a little over two hours. You would have to be in very good shape to maintain that pace without stop or rest. Most riders in comfort bikes can only ride 10-12 miles per hour so to average 41 miles every day you would have to be on the saddle for 4hr every single day (120 days = 30 days X 4 months) and ride on flat roads no hills because hill would change everything. I am aware that a season is only 3 months but that would just increase the daily miles to 55 a day so i added another 30 days. 126 miles in 10 hrs is 12 miles per hr without stopping for bathroom or eating because that will effect your time and again no hills you have to be very athletic to climb hills at 12 mph even on a expensive road bike.
