1. Hi,

I have got some knee problems, because my saddle height was to high.
After 5 months we figured out what the problem was (I was cyling 3 years with that bike, never had problems, so saddle height isn't the first choise to look after).

Now after a few months I'm able to ride 130 km at the hills, but knee pain or not depends on the weater.
If its a sunny day, 25°C, I can cycle for hours with no problem.
If its a cold day, 12°C, immediately after the beginning the pain begins and remain till the end.
Remark: When I put my hand on my knee, it feels (ice)cold.

I always start with a warming up, when its below 18°C, I'm wearing longpants.

Is there something to keep my knee warm, because it looks like this is a part of the problem?

Regards

Bart Joosen

2. When it’s below 60F (16C) I wear leg warmers, in addition to my bib cycling shorts.

Or you can wear knee warmers (which I don’t have).

My legs are warm down to 40F (4C) with the leg warmers. Below 40F and down to 30F(-1C) I still wear my bibs, and leg warmers, but I also wear a pair denim jeans over them (one more layer) to keep my legs warm.

Wear knee warmers until you are warm or when the temperature gets better. They are easy to remove without removing your shoes.
