Coming back to bodybuilding..... trying to.....

Discussion in 'General Fitness' started by Joseph Scully, Mar 23, 2005.

  1. Hi
I am returning to bodybuilding after a good few years out of the game.

I was around 16 stone, and quite lean <10% bodyfat around 5 years ago, but
have got to 18stone, and high bodyfat since.
I want to shed a few lbs, but keep the muscle which I have retained. I am
looking for some software that I can use to help track my progress, and
record my diet and exercise, and be able to monitor my progress.

    Can anyone recommend something??

I have found this product, but have not yet purchased it.
    www.dakware.com
I like the idea of being able to use the PDA, as I need a machine to remind
    me, and organise me.

I would be grateful if anyone could offer any help.

    Thanks

    Joe.

    Joseph,

I use Fitday (http://www.fitday.com) to track my diet. You can use it
also to track your exercise and weight. It is free and web based but
they do have a software version that costs. (Not sure if they have a
    PDA version or not).

I find that tracking my diet really helps keep me eating "clean".

    Regards,

    Mike

Has anybody tried the purchase version? I use the free site all the time and
keep wondering if there are advantages...

I purchased it. I've never used the free version, so I couldn't comment as
to the differences. The purchased one keeps track of the foods you eat; has
a weight loss log; lets you program specific activities and the energy they
burn; a weight goal that will tell you how many calories you need to burn
each day to achieve that goal by a specific date; a mood log; a body log
that you can keep track of all your body measurements; and most importantly,
you don't have to be tied to the internet (kinda nice for the traveler).

I wouldn't recommend any product that is sold by a dishonest spammer.

This guy is a spammer. Ignoramus busted him in rec.running.
