I'm trying to decide between cannondale's bad boy ultra and fisher's new 129. both are similar: hybrids with front suspension and hayes disc brakes. Cannondale
's front suspension is nice and light, but the components (apart from the brakes) seem mediocre, especially the wheels, and there's no real space for wide 700c tires. The Fisher 129 seems fantastic: the perfect commuter/tour machine, high quality all around, however the problem is it seems rather heavy. Is 28 pounds (compared to 23 pounds for the cannondale) unusually heavy for a high quality size large hybrid with sturdier rims and disc brakes? Is the low weight of the cannondale because of its super-delux minimalist front suspension? Opinions? OTher bikes in the 1000-1400 prices range I should be looking at instead? thanks
