Compatible pedals with Shimano PD-7750 cleats ?

All,

I've got a set of Shimano PD-7750 with the 6 degree float cleats. I'm
building up a second bike and would like to use the same shoes and
cleats. Are any of Look pedals or any other pedals compatible with
these cleats ? I'm looking for a inexpensive alternative.

Thanks,

Ian

Hi, besides the DA pedals, you can use those cleats with the Ultegra
version, the PD-R600[list $140] or the PD-R540[list $90] which are the
105 version.
The PD-R540 can be found for below list price and would be your
cheapest route.
I would stick with one of the Shimano SPD-SLs, as I don't think the
cleats are compatable with Look pedals.

Cheapest would be a set of Shimano PD-R540, if you consider $90 cheap.
You won't find much of a discount, unless you find them on eBay or used.
AFAIK, the SPD-SL cleats will only work with Shimano pedals. Never heard
of anybody using them with Look or anything else. Cleat design is in
most cases very specific to a particular pedal type and manufacturer,
with mountain bike SPD cleats being the exception that proves the rule.
With those, you can often use the same cleat for a variety of pedals
from different manufacturers.
