Can anyone tell me if the components upgrade for the following bike is worth the price? Ultimately I have to see it and try it out - Thanks

The price differential MIGHT be worth the up-charge, but I would rather get the less expensive bike with the Shimano components AND THEN spend the additional money for better Shimano MTB components on an as needed basis .

Great thanks. I bought the bike and it looks and feels quite nice. The brakes however are quite weak and not what I expected. I am looking into upgrading to SHIMANO Deore BR-M596 BL-M596 Hydraulic Brake Set Front and Rear Black right away for better stopping power.
