I am an ignorant. What is it all about and whre can I find any info other than travelogues?

This was a medieval pilgrimage to see the alleged bones of St.James the Apostle in Galicia. Millions
used to walk it from all over Europe. It has left a residue of fantastic architecture and lore and
is a wonderful walk or cycle. I've done it. It's wonderful.

Do a google search on Camino Santiago which is the name of the route, there are hundreds of web
pages and descriptions of the route. It is a very nice long distance bike ride. The Compostella is
the doccument that you get when you prove you have completed 200 Km on a bicycle or 100 Km on foot.
