Compton, Page add to medal count at 'cross world championships

The United States won two more silver medals Sunday at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships as Jonathan Page and Katie Compton earned the first-ever medals in elite competition for the United States in the history of the sport. With Daniel Summerhillandrsquo;s silver on Saturday, the U.S. doubled their total medal count since 1950 joining Matt Kelly (gold andndash; junior 1999), Tim Johnson (bronze andndash; U23 1999) and Walker Ferguson (silver andndash; junior 2000).
