Hi there, I would be very grateful if anyone could please recommend a couple of good cycle routes starting and finishing in Meise. These routes would be for road bikes. Coming over to Belgium in June. Thanks folks

There are bikepaths following most roads in that area; heading north-west, north, and north-east is the way to go. Just bring a map or gps to find your way home eventually, or if you see a group out training, ask them if you can tag along.
If you check google maps, you'll see that there are loads of canals- they usually have service roads or bikepaths running parallel which are great too.

Most links lead to sites and files in Dutch!

These 3 links show in different formats 2 signposted MTB routes in and around Meise. They are of course not really the answer to your question, although you never know you want to discover the smaller roads and paths in this part of Flanders: Meise (at the left, there are a bunch of links to similar routes in that region) and http://www.bloso.be/public/bloso/Docs/Mountainbikeroutes/MielVanCauter_Meise.pdf and http://www.bloso.be/public/bloso/Docs/Mountainbikeroutes/MielVanCauterMeiseRoute.pdf

http://www.grinta.be/downloads/roadbook/vb_groenegordel.pdf is a very interesting file, published by a Belgian cyclism magazine.

http://users.telenet.be/fietsroutes/Meise.pdf is a short tour in Meise and it's vicinities.

http://mediatheek.vlaamsbrabant.be/...scan_filename=magazine-groene-gordel-2010.pdf presents at page 28 the 'Brouwersroute' and at page 25 the 'Valleitjesroute'

And indeed, if it's more for road cycling you will meet and worship very fast the towpaths along the rivers and canals in that area. (Parts of) these tracks pass in your future neighbourhood:
Bicycle Path - Aalst - Opwijk - Londerzeel (= Leireken, old railway track) at Bikely.com
    Bicycle Path - Gent - Wetteren - Dendermonde - Antwerpen - Turnhout - Lommel - Bree - Maastricht - Liège (= Schelde + Albertkanaal + Maas) at Bikely.com
    Bicycle Path - Mechelen - Willebroek - Bxl - Charleroi - Thuin - Maubeuge - Fourmies - Hirson - Guise (France) (= Zenne + Dijle + Rupel + Zeekanaal Brussel-Schelde + Canal Bruxelles-Charleroi + Sambre + Voie verte de l'Avesnois + Axe vert de la Thié
    Bicycle Path - Leuven - Mechelen - Boom - Temse - Waasmunster - Lokeren - Moerbeke - Evergem - Gent (= Kanaal Leuven-Dijle + Rupel + Schelde + Durme + old railway track + Moervaart + Ringvaart + Kanaal Brugge-Gent + Coupure + Lieve + Leie) at Bikely.
    Bicycle Path - Gent - Dendermonde - Aalst - Ninove - Geraardsbergen - Ath - Bernissart - Mons - La Louvière - Charleroi - Namur - Huy - Liège - Hombourg - Aachen (= Schelde + Dender + Canal Blaton-Nimy + Canal du Centre + Canal Bruxelles-Charleroi
    Bicycle Path - Gent - Melle - Erpe-Mere - Aalst - Affligem - Asse - Zellik - Brussel at Bikely.com
