    American President Lines Limited shipping company in South Kearny, N.J.

    Two things:

    1. "We've had it tested," Dailey said, "and each time it's shown the
    crab was good."

    That's not how botulism works.

    A tiny little speck of it grows into a wad in the middle of the thing
    you're testing the edge of.

    You test a dot and it comes up negative. Someone dumps the rest into
    their family-favorite seafood salad and spends their remaining 24 hours
    paralyzed.

    2. "since August"

    I never want to hear that phrase around crabmeat again, unless it's
    accompanied by "at 30 below".
