After reading the failure thread here and having a pair of Candy SL
pedals fail myself, I called Crank Brothers. Very helpful! Apparently
they used cheap bearing in the first couple years of production and they
have now been replaced by MUCH better bearings. They sent me a rebuild
kit (for FREE) for both sets of my Candy SL pedals. Takes under a minute
to rebuild each pedal, new bearings are much smoother.

Please see:

These new bearings a readily available at just about any bearing shop if
you don't want to buy the rebuild kit.

Let the bridges I burn light my way...

I too have had great service and treatment by the people at Crank Brothers.
Great stuff.
