They can work with 9 spd and other systems, too, just like Campy 11 spd cranks will work with Campy 10 spd and 9 Spd.

and they will work with shimano front derailleurs, right?

I didn't think a 9 speed ring would be narrow enough for a 10 speed chain.

Yes they'll work with Shimano shifters, and 9 spd cranks will work with 10 spd systems and chains. When the move was made from 9 to 10 speed, chainrings stayed the same thickness.
