Creaking noise on the stem/carbon steerer tube

There's creaking noise when I move my handlebars from side to side. I believe it comes from the stem that is on a carbon steerer tube. Is there a lube that I can use on a carbon steerer? Or is grease good enough? Thanks.

Usually if you take the stem of the steer and clean the steer and stem it goes away. Don't grease the steer just keep it clean.

you might wath to crease the bolts that hold up the stem and bar, that way some dirt might not get stuck in these holes
