Creole Veggie Smoothie

  1. Creole Veggie Smoothie

    2 cups V8 juice
    1/2 cup fresh or canned carrot juice
    1 teaspoon tabasco
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
    4 spinach leaves
    1 medium sprig parsley
    12 ice cubes

    Place all ingredients in blender in order given. (If adding protein
    powder, add first and blend with liquid.)
    Add one or two of the following per serving (optional):

    1/2 tablespoon rice protein powder
    1 tsp sunflower seeds
    1/4 teaspoon acidophilus powder
    1/8 teaspoon vitamin C powder

    Blend until smooth and creamy. For thickest smoothies, keep blending
    time to a minimum.

    Makes 3 cups. Serves 2. Serving Size 12 oz.
