1 1/2 pounds Chuck or round steak -- strips
1/3 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1 Large onion -- sliced
1 Large green pepper -- sliced
1 pound Can tomatoes
1 Can mushrooms -- (4 ounces) drained
2 tablespoons Molasses
3 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 Pkg frozen green beans -- (10 ounces)

Put steak strips , flour, salt and pepper in crock pot, strirring well
to coat meat. Add remaining ingredients and cook on LOW for 8 hours, or 5
hours on LOW and 2 hours on HIGH.

Roast can be substituted for steak strips with same results.

Italian Pot Roast

4 lb. pot roast
1 can beer
Sliced onion
4 cloves crushed garlic
garlic salt and pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1 4oz. can green chilies, chopped
4 mild pepperoncini

Put half of garlic on the bottom of crockpot; add roast. With remaining
ingredients on top of roast. Cook on high 4-5 hours until tender. Serve on
french rolls with provolone cheese.

3 1/2 pounds beef arm or boneless pot roast
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 carrots, peeled, sliced lengthwise -- cut in 2"
pieces
3 potatoes -- peeled and quartered
2 small onions -- sliced
1 stalk celery -- cut in 2" pieces
1 2 oz jar mushrooms -- drained
or
1/4 cup mushroom gravy
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup water

serves 4 to 6
Trim all excess fat from roast; brown and drain if using chuck or
another highly marbled cut. Combine 1/4 cup flour, the salt and pepper.
Coat meat with the flour mixture. Place all vegetables except mushrooms
in Crock-Pot and top with roast (cut roast in half, if necessary, to fit
easily). Spread mushrooms eve nly over top of roast. Cover and cook on
Low for 10 to 12 hours. If desired, turn to High during last hour to
soften vegetables and make a gravy . To thicken gravy, make a smooth
paste of the 3 tablespoons flour and the water and stir into Crock-Pot.
Season to taste before serving.
