Be part of a wonderful cycling adventure this summer. You will cycle 1000km over nine days across some of Poland's most beautiful countryside. It's a great challenge, but within the reach of any amateur cyclist. You will be fully supported by a friendly and enthusiastic event team, and a support vehicle. And remember, because the ride is organised entirely by experienced volunteers every penny you raise goes direct to supporting adults and children with terminal illnesses and their families; your participation fee covers our costs.

We have only a few spaces left on this year's ride, so register today!

  • Cycle 1000km in 9 days
  • The ride is fully supported and guided – so no carrying heavy packs or reading maps
  • No minimum sponsorship
  • Visit the voluntary organizations and hospices who will receive equipment funded by the money you raise, and see first hand the impact of your fundraising efforts.
  • See the old Polish capital of Gniezno and the bustling coastal city of GdaÅ„sk, stay in atmospheric seaside towns and rural villages, and experience authentic Polish food and hospitality along the way
  • Cycle with a team of Polish and British riders, joined by local volunteers and cyclists at the start and finish, creating a great sense of community. Last year hundreds of cyclists joined us at the start, and for the final 3km.
  • We run a full programme of UK based training rides before the trip so that participants can meet and train together.

Route: Bielsko-Biala (southern Poland) to Gdansk (north coast of Poland), primarily on smaller rural (but tarmac) roads.

Dates: Saturday 13 July 2013 - Sunday 21 July 2013

Participation fee: £490 + flights. This covers secure bike transfers to Poland, airport transfers, support van, 10 nights’ accommodation and most meals for 9 days. The price of flights will depend on the dates you book. For reference, last year return flights cost £150.

About the charity: The Alina Foundation is a UK registered charity (no 1137887) that provides vital support and equipment to adults and children with terminal illnesses and their families. It is run entirely by volunteers and its trustees cover all administrative costs.
