Cycle computers???????

I'm in the market for a new cycle computer. Any recomendations?

Has to be wired, I seem to get a poor performance out of wireless. I
like those wide looking ones but the only one I've found is the topeak
panoram. I like all that to hand data thing where I haven't got to keep
pushing buttons. That two bike feature is a bit redundent on me as I
only have the one bike. Oh yeah, must be under £40 too.

So any recomendations then?

I use a Cateye Astrale 8 and I'm pretty happy with it - functions are
speed, total mileage, trip mileage, max speed, average speed, time,
clock, cadence. And it can be set to record miles or kms. And it's under
£40 (possibly even under £30 iirc). And it's wired.

I'll second the astrale 8, I was gutted when my polar sensors wouldn't
work on my Hurricane. Long wires that reach my pedals and front wheel,
although I did have to cut and solder to get the wires neatly hidden
inside the frame.
