I have the Cycleops Fluid 2 also and doing plenty of sessions during the South Australian winter watching the Giro ( thanks to Demonoid!)
There is a noticable increase in resistance after 2-4 minutes but it's stable after that.
I find I have to go to big chain ring & 12, 13 gearing to do any out of the saddle work or I just find there is no resistance at the top of the downward stroke - this is a major annoyance.
I hope to have a KK Road machine in the next week so can do some comparison between the trainers
