    In practice this means April or early May. It'll be warmer in June, of course... the midges

  4. I loooked into riding the first part (up to Drymen or maybe a bit further) as a day ride. All the
    info I found warned me off it as being a walkers-only route due to them not wanting the surface to
    be eroded any quicker than it already was being. Never tried it in the end
