I'm not sure if this post really fits here, but as a multi-sport athelete I heard that cycling may increase my jumping ability. Does anyone know of some truth in this, or is it just urban myth?

You use your legs to pedal, making them stronger, allowing you to jump harder, but not neccesarily faster. The faster you move your legs, the further you can jump.

it normally decreases!!! jump ability. UNless you kept cycling to a bunch of 30s - 4 minute all out efforts. Same goes for running. Ofcourse if you lose 100 pounds things might be different.
