depends on what you need coaching for

road
mtb
track
audax
?
?

Plenty around, the Cycling Clubs all have connections and most of the LBSs can direct you...finding the right one for you and what you want to achieve will be your challenge, but first you need to define your aims and direction...then I'm sure some good soul here will help out with a pointer or two or maybe even offer to help you direct...

Sorry I didn't give enough details.. It's mainly for road/crit races.. I find it easier to train when you've got a program set-out and someone is pushing you..

There's a lot of coaching services in Melbourne, but intially, I'd
suggest asking your club if they have anyone that they'd either promote
or recommend. If not, then try looking for commercial coaching.
Google is your friend.

I play by the rules, he asked for recommendations, not solicitations :)

is that my cue??

Seriously though, I have had Carl as my coach since last June and he has taught me alot about focussing on my cycling goals and trying things i wouldnt have otherwise have done (Bay Series Crits for example). He also does a very thorough initial rundown of what you have done, what you want to do, what you are doing, what you like doing, etc.

While i have been located in Perth i don't feel like i have missed a whole lot by having him located in Melbourne and when i came over to Melbourne he had a lot of time for me and oversaw a few of my training sessions.

I have been very happy with the service he has provided and have really enjoyed my cycling and racing over the past 10 months.
