Not entirely sure, but...

If you are talking about the crit track near Toombul shopping centre, it
appears to be an issue over management rights, which Cycling Queensland were
seeking from the BCC. I spoke to CQ late last year and asked them about it
and they said that there were heaps of clubs interested in using the
facility but they (the clubs) were waiting for CQ to get the management
rights before they can conduct 'sanctioned/insured?' racing or training.

It does look like a good, but at this stage unused, facility.

Not sure of the full story, but it's the normal red tape [censored] with insurance
and stuff. I think they are also going to put a toilet block in there. The
first event is down for May 2, the State Criterium Champs.

It is a good track, although the handrail near the culvert is a bit dodgy, I
wouldn't want to crash into that, and if there is a crash going to happen,
it'll be right there through the chicane.
