  1. Did a loop yesterday afternoon, over the Erskine Bridge, Bishopton, over
the hills to Johnstone then joined up with NCN7 to go back into Glasgow
    and over the Bells Bridge.
Through Paisley I was flying along, thinking I'm doing great, and I can
keep up this style of riding all day. Bike zinging along, and lo and
behold I'm snicking up the rear cogs to gears I don't normally reach.

Ah well - before thinking such a great deal of myself next time I'll
remember to change into the big ring at the front. Ahem.

I've just donated my ex road bike to a friend and we were out yesterday for
what was only his 3rd ride so I thought I'd make it easy and just wander up
the Taff Trail. Just north of Cardiff I missed the turning and ended up
taking him up a hill of about 2.5km at I'd guess 8% - oops

Makes a change. Normally when I'm feeling "fit"
    it means there's a tail-wind I haven't otherwise
    detected ;-)
