Hi.
My wife and I are considering the move to Aus. from Auckland NZ.

I’m warming to Adelaide but being a keen roadie I’m wanting to know things like;
Is it generally safe for training, what clubs are there, it looks pretty flat yet I’m an ok hillclimber – are there hills? Are the races in the hills? Group rides?
Snakes & spiders – on the roads and otherwise?

Thanks, Paul /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

My wife and I went to Adelaide from Sydney in at Christmas specifically to go cycling. We were not disapointed. There are heaps of bike track, the roads are very wide and safe, there are plenty of runs along train lines and rivers and creeks. There is a huge culture of cycling in the Adelaide hills and on the very flat roads. I have often said that if I moved to Adelaide, I would sell my kayaks and buy a nice road bike!

Good luck.
