Does anyone live in Cairns? just recently moved up here and am trying to suss out wheres good to ride. Live up Northern beaches so am just doing north and south at the mo.

I used to live/ride in Cairns and there is a good riding scene around road racing and triathlon. Good rides are Palm Cove, Crystal Cascades, Kuranda (and out to Mareeba), Copperlode, Gillies Hwy, Yarrabah and more. Contact the Cairns Cycling Club (ask at a bike shop) for track season in summer, road and crit in winter. Also contact CBUG http://www.cairnsbug.org/ and join up.
