My wife, I, and one year old are planning a cycling trip across the south of France. We are probably looking at around 6 days/5 nights for the cycling portion. I see that there are a lot of companies that will support the trip but my wife and I are a bit more independent. I am exploring the idea of just setting it up myself and doing it. Does anyone have any experience setting up the trip themselves? I imagine we will still need to shuttle our stuff from hotel to hotel, is that possible? How is that arranged (or is that the main benefit of the cycling tour companies)?
