A couple of friends and I are spending a couple of days on the Isle of Eigg
(in the small isles) from this weekend. We normally cycle everywhere but is
there any point taking the bikes to Eigg (wee island !) - is there any
decent off road stuff ?
Any comments appreciated....

My Auntie lives on Eigg and I visited there for a couple of days last
year. I managed to get out on her bike, Rockhopper circa 99 with
skinnies, for a couple of hours but didnt stray too far off the tarmac.
What i did see looked okish but as there is only one main tarmac'd road
running end to end means anywhere off the road starts to get a bit
remote and uncharted. (maybe thats what you want) In my 2 days there i
certainly saw other bikes on the island so perhaps i missed the good
stuff.
