    Hi

I'm just planning a cycling trip with a friend. We arrive and leave from Aix en Provence in the south of France in August for a week of cycling.

I was wondering if anyone knows of some good cycle routes? I need to stick to good surfaces because my tyres won't handle off road.

The other thing is I want to start using cleats. Is it best to use pedals with a larger platform size for long rides like SPD SL's?

    Cheers folks

never been to that area but usually in europe there are plenty of small roads and great scenery everywhere, as for the cleats it is a rule of thumb not to go on a cycling tour with unknown equippment, try to put some miles on it to get used to,
