I'm after some kind of cycling diary that I can use to record my rides, milage and average speeds,
perhaps also heart rate info. I've had a look around the web (google etc) and downloaded and tried
plenty but not found anything quite right.

There's quite a few cycling programs available but they seem to be aimed mostly at serious athletes
and are too complex for my needs.

A fairly simple Excel spreadsheet is the sort of thing I'm after, record the basics and view a
couple of charts, nothing too fancy.

I expect it wouldn't be that difficult to actually create my own but I'm clueless in that area and
currently without the time to teach myself.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone is using (or has any links to) something that might be of use?

Thanks if you can help.

An exercise book is always a good thing for recording your exercise in.

If none of these suggestions help, let me know and I'll send you my Excel spreadsheet I used to use
before converting to a PolarS710 and accompanying software.

It will log all your rides and includes (if you want to log this) heart rate max and average, max
and average speed etc. It will automatically produce graphs for the previous as well as total rides,
total mileage, and overall averages.

The link goes to some free running logs that should meet your purposes.

I have a really excellent program that matches your needs perfectly called "Biklog5" but it is
designed to run on a Psion or Revo.

"Book"? "Pencil"?

What are these things you speak of? New fangled technology I've yet to hear about no doubt.

Okay.... so I get the spreadsheet, then I have to find some hardware to run it on...

)

Thanks anyway.

It is not a spreadsheet, it is a program. Anyway, you never specified what platform you wanted to
run it on - you can hardly expect everybody just to assume you meant a PC. But in any case, Psions
are very useful and well worth having for lots of other reasons, other than the excellent cycling
program I mentioned.
