Hi everyone,

Just looking to see if there are any other type I diabetics cycling really long distances out there and what they do to maintain their blood sugar levels on the rides? Take a giant saddlebag filled with snacks? Lower insulin shots or turn down the insulin pump? Any trial and error experience would be helpful.

Thanks,

I know it's a little late, but are you still interseted in replies.
Type 1 for last 30 years, mostly ride by myself. Six Round the bays so far, one the 250kM version. Two GVBR's by myself, joined Audax but need to do more training in order to keep up.
Would love to hear from you as I have lots of questions myself.
