As the board now draws towards its first 1000 posts, I would like to say the following:

  • Firstly, to Admin:
As a member: Thanks for the awesome job you've done in putting this board together, admin. Of all the forums I visit, this ones the best!
    Thanks, mate!
  • Secondly, to my fellow members:
As a moderator: Thanks to all you guys and gals for the way you conduct yourselves on the board. You guys make being a mod even more enjoyable.
    Thanks, dudes and dudettes!

yup. Well done Admin. And VO2 I understand that you had alot to do with it too.

This site is groing and I predict it will be the one of the largest cycling BB's around. Certainly the best so far.

Keep it up guys.

Happy 1000th post. 8)

Question is who will get to 1000 individual posts first? ;D

I've got 4000 on another bb 8)

That's 2 years worth of posts though...[/siz]

There is a hack the shows a users average posts per day. Do you guys think its worth trying to install it?

cheers

I'd rather opt for a hack that will allow us to upload a customised avatar once we reach a certain number of posts, like 200, for example. I've stuck a pic in my signature, but it would be cool to have a customised avatar under the 'author' column.
Lets hear what the other members have to say?

I stopped allowing avatars in the hope that it would stop people complaining about the speed of the site :(

I'll enable avatars tomorrow and see if the complaints start again ;D

cheers

Admin and Vo2

I know or maybe I should say I feel, that most of the members are hardcore cyclists, but If you don't mind , I'll just keep plugging away for all those older cyclist who cycle purely for recreation.

Okay now the reason why I posted this , just for the ignorant (me) please can you explain what "avatars" are.

avatars are small images that apear under your username....

The only requirement to be a member of this forums, is that you like bikes. A little or alot it doesnt matter, its the fact that you like 'em ;D

cheers

Admin is absolutely right. Believe me, if this board was for hardcore cyclists only, I would'nt be here. I take my cycling serious, but on par with my ability, which I can usure you is NOT on elite level! Everyone on this board has knowledge and experience to share, and, just as admin said earlier, if you like bikes and enjoy cycling, you're welcome, no matter what level you do it on. ;)
