Update - Hemmant fatal: Just before 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, a
male cyclist believed to be in his mid 20s, was killed after he
collided with a semi-trailer on Lytton Road, Hemmant. Witnesses have
told police the man was carrying boxes in one hand, when it appears he
lost control of his bicycle and collided with the truck. The Accident
Investigation Squad is investigating.
Note: The incident was initially reported as a pedestrian being hit by
a truck.

Road, Lytton this afternoon.
The incident occurred near the intersection with Freight Street about
4.45pm.
