I live in Raleigh, NC and go to NC State as a senior in physics. I recently began my search for my first real bike, not like my childhood department store MTB. I'm looking to get a used CX bike for fitness/commute/rec. I am most striken by the LeMond Poprad. My budget is close to $500 so I am definitely open to suggestion. But like I said, Poprad is definitely my first pick. The lightweight steel frame looks smooth and durable and I've read tons of great reviews with almost no bad ones. So here are a few questions for you guys.
Most importantly, do you have any ideas on where to find a good used Poprad for that price? Or any suggestions on other CX bikes for that price? I tried ebay but got outbid immediately. I'm a working college student so my budget isn't incredibly flexible yet. Thanks for any help!
