Been listening on 774 (Melb) of how the Cyclone Larry Appeal hasn't really kicked off down here in the southern states. There's been several "reasons" given onair while we southerners aren't contributing etc, (no direct deaths, doesn't insurance cover this etc etc) but after the Call of the Wall ride last weekend, who's got ideas on how to help?
Think if you were a little kid up there, and the local school is open (just) and you can't use the playground due to pile of debris etc. Your house leaks, the fridge is stuffed, mum and dad have temporarily lost their jobs, virtually everything is damp or stinks and your bike got damaged in the storm.
Donate bikes, adopt a school or simply whip out the creditcard?
