David Millar working with Checchini

My point wasn't that anyone was "supporting" him. What amazes me is that Millar gets an "well done boy..." from WBT and you remarked on his "superbe performance". The guy is a known doper. If it had been Landis or Armstrong winning the British 4000, he would have elicited no such comments from either of you. You both would've commented on what a dispicable, doping liar they are and that would've been the end of it.

Anytime anyone who has bashed Armstrong, Hamilton, Landis, etc... as a doper and then turns around and applauds another rider who's a known doper, I can't resist the urge to point out the bias. I don't understand how one can condemn a doper when it's someone they don't like and then choose to ignore it when it's someone they do like.

Me? I just understand that most or all of the riders dope and I don't bash on any of them for it. When the sport is clean and it's proven that a single rider is the lone doper, then I'll squawk. In other words you're not going to hear me condemn a rider because they got caught doping. Because that'll never happen (the lone doper thing that is).

OK I see where you're coming from.

I should have qualified it by saying - Millars performance was superb assuming he did it clean.

I'm not a fan of Millars btw.

Did Millar do it clean ?
In my estimation if he is doping now not only is he a bloody idiot but he would also be taking the **** in my view.

I understand what you mean Limerickman. I actually am a fan of Millars. Did he do it clean? I doubt it. Especially considering his rumored association with Checchini. But does anyone "do it clean" anymore?

"Does anyone do it clean"?

Hand on heart.
I don't know if anyone does it clean anymore.
Unfortunately.

I don't know about Millar. I am damned certain that no one has been able to win a GT clean since 1990. A one day race or a stage, I am very skeptical but also a little hopeful that a clean rider could occassionally succeed.

One thing is for sure, if Millar is doping while doing his "racing clean" schtick for the press then he is a world class ******. Shades of Armstrong there.

I have said this before but I read a relatively recent interview with ****** Millar where he talked about his bad old days where there were races he did dirty and races he did "virtually clean" (or something like that). I am guessing that he sees himself clean now because he's not using as much dope, or else just the dope that everyone else uses.

I think the GB track squad do it clean and that's what annoys me about Millar. He was given the services of British Cycling's coaches before his ban, during his ban and still today, yet he went off to Cecchini for a little extra help. The GB track squad riders get around £20,000 a year from Lottery funding. Some are pros on the road but, the women especially, aren't going to have much more than that to live on. They do it because they love the sport. They accept BC's zero tolerance policy on doping and there's not even a rumour that any of them are dirty.

Millar had his rock star life style through cheating. He belly ached to all who'd listen how he lost the lot (yet still managed to spend 12 months on the **** after his ban was announced) and now will no doubt be earning a great deal more than £20,000. He gets the services of the coaching team who helped Boardman to his two hour records, Brad Wiggins to Olympic gold and countless other riders to medals but Millar isn't satisfied with this. He has to turn to Cecchini.

Millar makes a big deal about how he submits his blood to BC and the UCI for profiling but insists he'll never make his blood tests public because only a specialist can understand them. More arrogance. There are plenty anti-doping doctors who understand haemotology. If golden bollocks is really clean he'd have no qualms with them looking at his blood profile. In fact it would strengthen his claim that he is clean. IF he is actually clean.

He doesn't get it all his way. Because he is an ex-doper he isn't allowed on the British Olympic track team, and because he can't be on that he won't be doing the track world championships. Which kinda sucks for him because he seems to be very good at the 4km persuit, could have picked up a few medals.

Yeah, it just doesn't seem likely. I mean, guys getting busted for dope and the guys who finish in front of them aren't on dope? It doesn't really bother me that much. I'm a fan of racing and riding and I try to leave the idol worship and man crushes to someone else.

But sometimes I can't help it. Oh boy! That David Millar sure is a cuttie pie! He just won a big race and I can't wait to go jack off.

I know that sounds bad, but that's just the way I am sometimes.

Its not over yet....
______

British pursuit champion David Millar will face a trial next month for breaking French anti-doping laws.

The Scot, who won the 4,000m national title last Wednesday, will be among 10 people on trial between 6-10 November.

The 29-year-old was banned for two years after confessing to the use of blood booster erythropoietin in 2004 and returned to action in June.

An inquiry into doping involving his former team Cofidis followed and will form the basis of the current case. The accused include six former professional cyclists.

are you a world class pro cyclist? differant situation.
Look Jaycob24, I'm going to cut you some slack because you're new on the forum and it's possible that no one's shot you a pm explaining the calibre of rider I am.

I won a stage in the goddamn Vuelta this year. Here's the proof, knucklehead: http://cyclingforums.com/t362657.html

So, as you can see, I can talk smack about anyone and back it up with a stage win in a grande tour, dork boy. Can you? No. Can anyone else on this forum? No. If there's anyone on this forum claiming to have a grande tour stage win, they're lying their asses off. Let's see them provide a link. I've got the goddamn link.

Yeah. I can attest to it. I was there. You can't see me in that picture but I was in the crowd. A damn fine ride it was. I tried to ****** Helmut's belt as a suvenier as he rode by but was thwarted.
