If the Dawes Horizon <http://www.dawescycles.com/dawes/horizon.htm > is
the EBC Revolution Country
<http://www.edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk/catalogue/detail.cfm?ID=20811> then
what is the Dawes equivalent of the EBC Revolution Cosmos
<http://www.edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk/catalogue/detail.cfm?ID=19268>?

Haven't got a clue 'cause it seems edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk won't allow me to
look
unless it uses my hard disk to store its information...

I don't think there is a direct equivalent.

And EBC's bloody silly cookie/deep links problem is /still/ a problem.

I'm not a techie and have not spent much time on the site so can offer
little in the way of advice to them.

Several people. I just sent another pointing out it's borked, hoping
that at some point critical mass will be reached.

My web skills don't go deep enough to isolate the problem, but there's
always the old "hiring someone with a Clue" possibility...

There probably isn't one. Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op may have rebadged some
Dawes bikes at one time (and may even still do so), but most of their
bikes are unique to them. You won't get anything resembling a Revolution
Courier Race from Dawes.

Yes, I have, several times. The last time I got back a reasonably
sensible answer saying 'we're working on it'. Hopefully they are.

The Revolution Country is pretty clearly a rebadged Dawes Horizon, and
the Revolution Cosmos (not Courier Race) is (well, looks) only very
slightly different.

I wondered if it might be a Dawes Kara-Kum with dropped handlebars - the
ones on the Kara-Kum look a bit of a mess, but otherwise I could see
myself managing to squeeze out the extra £££ for that over the Horizon.

Daniele my fellow Cardiff dweller.

There are two bike shops I would recommend in or near Cardiff. (I have
absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with them, other than now and then
being a customer).

Tony in Station Road, Llandaff North (by the Health Centre) is a
stockist of Dawes cycles and he is a nice, helpful bloke as well, he
also sells used bikes, some quite good, some, frankly, ****.

The other is Tongwynlais Cycles in Tongwynlais. The Taff trail will
take you there safely. He is an active club cyclist himself and knows
a thing or too about bikes - he again is also a nice bloke.

One tip - haggle! Don't pay the list price!

The trouble with buying anything Mail Order from computers to bikes is
what the hell is it gonna cost you to send it back if troubles arrives
and it always does.

I'll keep an eye out for them, but local to me means Canton, so it's the
Bike Shed (Ridgeback) or Tom Davies Cycles (Dawes) - both nice shops
with helpful and friendly people in them - and it's looking like the
latter, because there just don't seem to be any suitable bikes within my
price range by Ridgeback.

I've been told here that there are two guys who work there, even though
I've only ever seen one. I think it must be true, though, because the
guy who's served me is a grumpy, unhelpful git. I took my custom to the
Bike Doctor in Porth when I bought some axles, even though it's further
away, because they didn't make me feel 2 feet tall for daring to intrude
into their time by simply asking a question.
