I have a Raleigh 20 with the same size wheels but 28 spokes. Should you see a 28 spoke 451 rim on
your searches, please let me know.

I think the Dawes Kingpin used the unusual 20" size of 440 rather than 451 or
406.

As long as there is 6 mm of adjustability in the brake block mountings for the slightly larger 451
wheel, it would still be an option (means a change of tyres, though). Also, it may be easier to get
alloy 451 rims, which would be a lot better than steel for braking in the wet.

The original Kingpin (KP500) had 500A. The Newpin had 20 x 1-3/8 on E5J rims until 1975 when it
reverted to 500A.
