decathlon kids bikes

DD (age 3.5) seems to have pretty well craked riding her puky
velocipede so I am just starting to think about getting her some
pedals. She is slightly built although quite tall and I am still
trying to decide whether to hold on for a while and go staright to 14"
wheels or not. Decathlon do range of 12" bikes for about GBP60 whith
full chain cases and cati front brakes/somesort of uneclosed hub rear
brake. I like the look of thse better than the more usual cheese based
calipers you normally see. Anyone have any direct experience of thsi
range? Any comparison with, say, puky bikes? Any other particular
recommedations?

On an unrelated note, how /does/ a Zefal HPX fit onto a schaeder valve?
Do you just push it harder?

best wishes

If it's like mine, you need to unscrew the cover of the valve connector.
Pull out the rubber ring and a plastic "pin" which sits behind it. Turn
the pin round so that the point will stick outward, and re-insert it.
Turn round the rubber ring so that the end with a thinner wall will be
outward, and re-insert that. Screw the cover back on.

NOW push it on the Schrader valve until it hisses. If it won't press on
easily, you may have to loosen off the cover slightly.
