I'm looking for a new mountain bike and this would seem to fit the
bill.
Anyone out there got one of these?

Thanks, Ed.

Good reports here
http://www.bikemagic.com/review/rev.../Decathlon-Rockrider-8.1/rcn/56/rgn/1/v/1/sp/

Looks OK. There are safety issues with bikes which have control wires on
top of the top tube - I know of someone who got very nastily cut in a
very nasty place. Apart from that, it seems excellent value for money.

Morning had broken, and there was nothing left for us to do
but pick up the pieces.

A mate's got a decathlon bike - £500ish, stance forks IIRC. It's stupidly
light and cheap for what it is. I'd want marzocchi forks and Shimano or
Magura disks (reliability) though, but that's me.

Just looked. That is the bike my mate has. Very good value. I'd also look at
Merlin cycles.
