  1. I have a cavity in my upper front tooth and my Doctor recommends I go to a Dentist.

It's a deep cavity and it's been infected so I think the tooth might have to be pulled.

This is the first cavity I've ever had and I'm in my late 40's with no insurance.

Can someone give me a general idea of how much I can expect to pay.

I'm in West Texas. Thank You

  2. Are you just gonna have it pulled or replaced as well?

If it needs to be filled only, it will probably run you around $200-$400 depending on the dentist.
If infected, the dentist will prescribed you an anti-biotic first before he works on you...costing
    you more money.

Since you do not have insurance, there are other alternatives. Check out your local university. They
are usually cheaper and in many cases allow you to make payments. You will have students working on
your teeth but they are very good students. I know friends and family who have had work done here at
U of L in Kentucky. All said they do a good job.

    HTH a lttle,

    Trent
