Hi everyone,
I've got a shimano front derailer on my wife's road bike and the head on one of the limit screws has been stripped. Can I simply back the screw out (it will loosen, but not really tighten) and go to my local home improvement store and reaplace it (less than $1) or do I have to get a whole new derailer ($25). The derailer works fine, but it's VERY difficult to adjust at this point.

If it is just the screw head that is stripped, yes.

Sweet. Thanks John. You just saved me $25! I guess I owe you a beer or something!
Done! A 4mmx12mm screw did the trick! It doesn't look as clean as the original, but for this application, I don't really care.
