I am a former medical news producer for CNN, and a very talented researcher.
I am considering creating a service for patients who feel they are at the
end of their ropes in their search for successful treatments.
This posting is my way of testing the waters for this new service - just to
see if anyone would be interested. If any of you feel that you are at the
end of your rope - I would be willing to bet that I could find a possible
treatment or multiple treatments that you have never considered. These
would be treatments that have some supporting evidence, not just alternative
treatments with nothing but hearsay to support them. (I don't say that to
denigrate alternative or complimentary medicine, since many such treatments
have considerable evidence to support them)
This work would take a considerable amount of effort on my part. For every
legitimate treatment option I find for you, I would charge $100. This would
include supporting evidence, contact phone numbers for treatment providers,
and any testimonials I can find.
Having been a desperate patient, who found his own successful treatment when
even the best doctors could not - I learned the value of persistent
research. There are numerous treatment options out there for just about
every condition you could name. Many time these are obscure things that are
provided by only one institution. My ten years of researching medical news
for CNN makes me uniquely qualified for tracking down this information.
You only pay if I come up with valid treatments worth pursuing. I will
discuss them with you over the phone, or by email, prior to assembling a
detailed report on a given treatment. If it is something you have already
investigated, or are not interested in, then there is no need for me to
compile the report - and you pay nothing.
