I recently bought a pair of Dia-Compe Aero Compe road brake levers from the early 90s. I was seduced by their beauty. This is my first experience with Dia-Compe levers, though, and I'm having trouble installing the cables. Where I would expect to find a place to put the end of the cable housing inside the levers, I instead find a threaded hole that is big enough to let the cable housing slip through.
Did Dia-Compe once upon a time make threaded cable housings, or am I missing a part? Can anyone help me out?
