  1. I mentioned in my previous post about the neuro specialist
prescribing me Elavil 25 mg at bedtime for tingling of soles ,
my PCP had recommended Vitamin B 12 250 mcg once a day .

I was advised to go thru bone density test which revealed I was
ostopeonic and was put on 1500 gms of calcium with 400 mg of
vitamin D and it is a week since I started the calcium I find
lot of improvement in tingling of soles .

I didnot use either B 12 nor Elavil . Does it mean Calcium
    benifits diabetic neuropathy ?

    Cheers ,
    Kam

I don't think calcium helps with neuropathy. It is likely though that the
lack of calcium caused other symptoms.

I have three different medical conditions (including neuropathy) that all
have similar symptoms. When I have pain or difficulty walking, it can be
tough for me to determine what the cause is.

  3. If it helps you it helps.

A suggestion: your body can only absorb
about 500mg of calcium at any one time -
you'll get more out of it if you take that
amount 3 times spread out through your day.

Also take magnesium since it works together
with the calcium. But take it at different
time(s) You need the two but taken seperately
    for the best absorbtion.

Maybe Kam you already know this!
I don't want to preach to the choir.
