did a 4.2km hill climb with power tap



Sounds like you didn't heed your own advice re: start a little low and build up. Why spend so much time (half of climb?) below FTP on a short climb?

that is true :) It was my first time up the climb and I did not scout out what the gradients would be like - just knew that it would be 4kms long. I did start a little low but then kept the intensity high after the first steep part when it leveled out for a bit before pitching up again. It was this change of gradient that killed me. So, when I attempt the climb again, I will be more familiar and can pace accordingly. As my post also mentioned, I was not at my best having hayfever! I'll have to go back and do a second attempt when 100%
