May sounds like a stupid question but what's the difference? any functional difference?

Is it just look? one with a visor (mountain) and one without?

Reasons I asked is because most mountain helmets look better on my coconut.

Thanks

The mountin helmut should have the drop down Oxygen Mask in the visor. :D

Road helmets are more aero and have more ventilation.

From what I've read/heard, road helmets are designed to ventilate out the back for higher speed while MTB helmets ventilate more out the top, and so the vents are laid out differently.

Nope

There is no difference in many helmets, save the visor. Bell and Giro both do this, and I'm sure many other manufacturers do as well.

/Wears a MTB helmet on his road bike
//Who cares?
///Wear what you want, man

Well....I just bought another mountain helmet because it fits me best. I also realized now that both of my helmets are MTB ...ad the road helmets just look big and ugly on my coconut.

I hope i'm not stating the obvious here,
Mountin Helmet = a condom.... :p
Rode Helmet = a used condom... :eek:
