  1. Hi

I'm trying to mount a Hope XC4 disk brake caliper to a pair of RockShox SID
forks. However I'm having problems with alignment of the rotor in the
caliper such that the rotor is rubbing on the pads. I read in the
instructions that fitting is a trial an error job, whereby you have to fit
spacers unitil you get it right. The problem I have is that I need to take
material off the mounts in order to shift the caliper in the right
direction. I've filed the mounts down a little which has made the situation
better but more is required. However I'm not sure I should be filing my
forks and don't want to stuff them up completely. Has anyone had experience
of this? and whats the best way of solving the problem?

    Cheers

  2. Maybe you should have shimmed the rotor.
