  1. I had a mooch around the DLR extension to City Airport this morning.
Across the Woolwich Ferry and followed the new line back towards Canning
    Town.
All along Silvertown Way there is a decent enough cycle track under the
tracks, plenty of green tarmac. Its a shared use type with a pavement
    beside.
Sadly at every side road the road has priority. Sigh. Will 'they' ever
learn? Silvertown Way is quite a fast road, and all it takes is someone to
do a left hook without looking.
I used the cycle track myself, and enjoyed it, though I was aware of
    the side road danger.

Also just near City Airport the cycle track dumps you out at a couple
of roundabouts. Traditional 'cycles on the pavement, and negotiate across
the roads via dropped pavements'. Sigh again.

I'm not really having a moan about the cycle track - it is a good idea to
have a track following a new piece of civil engineering like this
(specially as bikes are verboten). But I'm not happy about the potential
    for injuries at the junctions.
