Do you favor "Deconditioning" or "Transitioning"

    I've heard both terms bantered about for the "end of the season" time period right before you begin your new periodized plan. One seems to imply a more conscious effort to lose fitness, while the other implies just a change in approach and possibly intensity. I'm interested if any of the coaches out there have any strong preference for both choice of words or clarification of intent.
