Fortunately, whatever job I've done I've always enjoyed it. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it, and been miserable for years. However, I know a lot of people who don't like their work, and when I say why not find something you like doing I never get a straight answer.

As a flinger of various manures, I can certainly say that I love my job. I work at home, my hours are entirely flexible, and there is nothing I enjoy more than hurling a dog turd into my neighbor's pool.

oh man, im so high right now, I have no idea what's going on...

So you are gainfully employed by the correction services to gather canine excrement in the locality. Hippies don't do dog turds, but they hate neighbours with water.

My job is fantastic 95 per cent of the time, so I have nothing to complain about. My team and peers are great, too. My boss is the biggest @rsehole since Machiavelli, but you can't have everything. :)

Fred, I say that to people and offer to help them with their resumes, but no one stops complaining long enough to send them to me :D

Best not to moan, I saw an old bike racing friend recently who's worth about £60M at the last count. He said that his wife was divorcing him and was preferring a younger man after she found out one or two things about him. He's 63 and the young man is 53, his wife is 35. No need to write his resume out, it's called cash. Mind you.......i could introduce you. I'll bet you've got something in your house done by him. When he was a young rider he did something that has never been surpassed to this day. So what did he do? Packed in bike racing, and went to Art College. He's never done anything he didn't like.

Yes Fred I believe I do . Last week I went to the state capitol to help intoduce a new bill and met with some of the most outlandish beaurocratic **** you coulds imagine.
I return on the 28th of this month to re-engage even more resistance from political naysayers. This is only part of my weekly routine.
It is absolutely frustrating but I love the game, so yes I not only enjoy the job I enjoy my life.
I guess I am a sick puppy!

dont get fancy on me man. I am at one with the universe, as a ****-flinger. peace out you crazy diamond.

I sell bikes & enjoy it BUT, 1/2 the people I work w/ are jerk's. Thats why I'm going to University so that I can work w/ like-minded people or by myself. Good thread FredC ;)

I think I have a rather od relationship with my job. When I'm there, I really enjoy it, but when I'm at home I hate the thought of ever going back.

i used to work in an elcetronics factory that built monitors for export. It was the worst job i had ever done. 12 hour shift work.

then i went to uni got a degree in engineering got a job in IBM in the quality and reliability labs which i loved and now i work for a different company for the past 8 years. It has around 2,000 emplyees and has its fiar share of arseholes, but i like my job 80% of the time. If i didnt like it i would have jacked it in years ago. Electronics engineer.

i am also a self employed web developer, just a one man show that has a great and talented team of developers (me) :D ...i specialise in e-commerce and online selling.

i love that job and hopefully will do it full time by this time next year....i need your encouragement folks..becuase quitting my full time job is scary with a 20 year mortgage stil to pay and a baby in the house...

nice topic FredC

I like the challenge of my job. Hate the new hours so I may be transfering. The place I want to transfer to has low turn over so it may take a while. And hopefully they remain a 40 hour work site and don't go to the 7K exempt system.

Let's hope that you get your 2000 workforce to get a move on with that bloody pneumatic sauce dispenser.
Now don't worry about being self employed, you'll be amazed at how hard you can really work, in fact it will astound your friends.
I'll give you a couple of tips to consider. Always pay your VAT to C&E. Always buy your SE NI stamps. The Inland Revenue works on a one for you, one for me basis. Do as many cash deals as you can. Never ever do your accounts on a computer accounting system. Have two sets of invoices printed (see one me etc) Buy a good shredder, and buy a nice big posh car. Corporate customers won't do business with someone who turns up in a wreck, because they like to see that you are a success.
